The title of the wall installation, Carrying Capacity, ecologically pertains to the maximum number of organisms of a particular species that can be supported indefinitely in a given environment. A change in these resources (oil, natural gas, water) and the organism (the human species) thrives or perishes. In using this term as a title for the work, I pose the question, “Are we, as a human species, at our maximum Carrying Capacity in regards to earth’s natural resources?”
